The short answer is as long as it needs to! There are ancestors that are more succint and direct and others who offer more information. My ancestral ally readings have ranged from 9 to 17 pages including pictures, so for a rough estimate, I would set the average on about 12 pages give or take. However, this is not a hard and fast rule. 
 
- Can I choose the deck or divination method that you use? 
 
I don't offer choices of deck. For ancestral work I choose intuitively the tools that I will use in a case-by-case basis. 
 
- What spread will you use?
