DECK CREATION

I began my deck creation when I stumbled upon the Oracle Belline and fell in love with the system, yet the responses to the original deck by Grimaud, which has a certain charm but is, well, a bit awkward, used to get a response: “What an ugly deck!”

Even though I’m charmed by the original despite its unusual illustrations, I had the idea of trying to reproduce the essence of the images in an aesthetic that was more pleasant to the eye. While I’m not particularly gifted at drawing, I find it easy to put together beautiful things and create a composition, and so, I attempted to reproduce a few cards using digital collage.

Before I knew it, I was a quarter into the deck, and I liked it! So I was determined to finish the project and that ended up becoming the Oracle Belline Reimagined.

The deck was originally released in a print to order way, but the demand, though modest, was enough for me to begin doing small prints of the deck, and, after a while, I released a second edition for which I changed a few cards that I wasn’t entirely convinced about.

My second project was The Thinning Veil Oracle, born of my experience with the loss of my grandmother and my desire to connect with the other side through cards, a very personal creation that led others to connect in a similar way. This was an oracle that didn’t attempt to reproduce an existing system but to create concepts based on my own understanding and experience, and it ended up being a significant tool for my Ancestor work.

My third project, likely the most ambitious one, was The Oracle of Victorian Symbols and Gothic Tales, a deck that follows the thirty-six card structure of other classic cartomancy decks, and that followed a system of its own. This deck was originally released in two versions, the Standard edition, including the thirty six cards, and the Deluxe edition, which included an additional set of nine expansion cards: Victorian Birdwatching Signs & Omens, and a real Victorian penny to use in divination.

When these projects started, the shipping situation was very different, but in 2025, shipping internationally became increasingly difficult and way more expensive for both the sender and the receiver, to a point in which, for someone who works with small prints of 20 to 50 decks per batch, it didn’t make sense to continue. The cost of shipping was rapidly going up, and though at the beginning I tried to absorb the costs, regulations changed quickly making it prohibitive on my end, and without the ability to ensure the receiver that they wouldn’t be hit with expensive custom fees and tariffs.

As a result, when the last batches of these decks where sold out, I decided to close the store, but I continued to receive e-mails enquiring about the decks, so I have found a solution that still allows you to get the decks with a reasonable shipping cost and without additional fees, which is going back to a print to order format.

This doesn’t allow the intended experience with nice packaging and the personal touch I liked to add to the parcels, but can still put the deck in your hands without being robbed blind in the process.

ORACLE BELLINE REIMAGINED — English Edition

The Oracle Belline Reimagined pays homage to the original Oracle Belline printed by Grimaud.

It is a 53-card, bridge sized deck, printed in high quality, blue core linen cardstock. I choose blue core linen cardstock for my decks for its flexibility and endurance. While at first glance it can look thin, it is actually heavy duty cardstock that will resist rough riffle shuffling without taking shape, since the blue core inside the cards will make it bend easily and then return to its original shape.

Linen cardstock ages better than its smooth counterpart, which will make your deck a long-standing companion, even if you are not precious with its use.

By popular demand, the current edition of the Oracle Belline Reimagined has its titles in english, while maintaining the imagery of the Second Edition, with a renewed back in damask (the brand of the house!) this time in a beautiful burgundy red.

THE THINNING VEIL ORACLE — III Edition

The Thinning Veil Oracle is my most personal creation, dedicated to my grandmother, the woman in the Ancestors card.

The deck was conceived as a way to aid communication with the other side, in whatever shape that takes for you, and receive guidance from your spiritual team.

The current version available is the III Edition of the deck, which goes back to bridge size like the original and is also printed in the same cardstock as the Oracle Belline. It comes with a QR code in the back of the presentation card that will take you to the guidebook, though this deck has a way of resonating with people on a personal level that makes the experience richer. Still, the guidebook is a great starting point.

ORACLE OF VICTORIAN SYMBOLS AND GOTHIC TALES

— Second Edition

The Oracle of Victorian Symbols and Gothic Tales was created following the 36 card structure of classic cartomancy systems and is a method of its own that combines different approaches.

There are 9 Gothic Tale cards that represent different internal journeys and navigate into the complexities of human nature. 25 Victorian Symbols cards with objects, concepts and situations that relate to life ordeals and 2 significator cards to situate the querent or relevant people within the spread, with an extra pair in case that you want to incorporate a different pairing.

The Second Edition incorporates the original 9 card expansion: Victorian Birdwatching Signs & Omens plus 3 exclusive new symbol cards that belong to this edition.

The deck contains a total of 50 cards, plus a QR code on the back of the presentation card that links to the digital guidebook. Printed in bridge size blue core linen cardstock, flexible and resistant, so that you can count on your oracle for many years to come.
